A comprehensive day school, Pathways Academy was developed to meet the psychological, social and academic needs of children and adolescents, ages six through 22, with Asperger's Syndrome and related disorders. Pathways is a year-round private school fully approved by the Department of Education. It has a staff-to-student ratio of 1:2. The staff includes certified special education teachers, developmental neuropsychologists, speech language pathologists and occupational therapists.

Pathways Academy is located in a newly renovated building, specially designed for this population. It features a computer lab and full classroom computer access. The program clusters children with similar cognitive and learning profiles in order to facilitate group learning. Additionally, each child is provided with an individualized education program that fosters his/her own competence and academic growth. Pragmatic Language Therapy is a core curriculum item for all students. Pragmatics is provided in group format and integrated into each student's individual learning program. Pathways Academy also provides other speech/language support, as well as occupational therapy and sensory integration, as needed.
Staff
The clinical staff are trained and specialize in developmental neuropsychology. They work closely with the faculty to fully integrate academic and clinical services for each student.
