At The Landing at McLean Hospital, we combine intensive and extended transitional programming for adolescents and young adults through age 19 who are struggling with substance use disorders and psychiatric illness, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression or bipolar disorders.
Our philosophy is to help adolescents and young adults become and remain drug and alcohol free while treating for co-occurring psychiatric illness. Treating both simultaneously is essential to achieve full recovery as psychiatric and substance use disorders can exacerbate one another.
Located on our Belmont, Massachusetts campus, our program is coeducational and has an average length of stay of 45 days.
"Up to 75% of youths with substance abuse problems also struggle with psychiatric illness."
