Program Leadership

Diane Davey, RN, MBADiane Davey, RN, MBA, Program Director

Ms. Davey has worked in residential and inpatient programs at McLean since 1985. In 1997 she was the co-founder of the OCDI and has since served as program director. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the International OCD Foundation, has given many local and national talks about OCD, and is active in raising awareness about OCD and related disorders.

Darin D. Dougherty, MD, MMScDarin D. Dougherty, MD, MMSc, Medical Director

Dr. Dougherty has served as a staff psychiatrist at the OCDI since it opened in 1997, and has been the medical director since 2014. He also serves as the director of the Division of Neurotherapeutics at Massachusetts General Hospital, which is devoted to the treatment of psychiatric illness with devices and/or surgical interventions.

Jason A. Elias, PhDJason A. Elias, PhD, Director of Psychological Services and Clinical Research

Dr. Elias is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of obsessive compulsive and related disorders. He oversees the training program in evidence-based practice at the OCDI, which serves practicum students, psychology interns, post-doctoral fellows, and psychiatry residents. He also developed the OCDI Office of Clinical Assessment and Research to advance the science and practice of exposure therapy.

Jason Krompinger, PhDJason Krompinger, PhD, Director of Quality Assurance, Training, and Service Development

Dr. Krompinger is a clinical psychologist with expertise in treating obsessive compulsive and related disorders using cognitive behavior therapy and in psychophysiological research methods. At the OCDI, he is involved in training and supervising clinical staff, students, and early-career psychologists. He also helps oversee program development and evaluation.

Brian P. Brennan, MDBrian P. Brennan, MD, Associate Medical Director

Dr. Brennan focuses on the use of neuroimaging as a means to better understand standard and novel treatments for mood and anxiety disorders. His work has led to grants from several foundations, and he is the recipient of the Outstanding Professional of the Year Award from the Boston chapter of the Depression and Bipolar Disorder Support Alliance.

Michael Jenike, MDMichael Jenike, MD, Founder

Dr. Jenike is the founder of the OCDI and the Obsessive Compulsive Disorders Clinic and Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is recognized as a world-renowned researcher, having published over 200 articles on OCD and other topics. He is currently the principal investigator of an OCD longitudinal family study that seeks to examine the clinical, genetic, imaging, and neurocognitive areas of this disorder.

Staff and Associates

Working in close partnership with patients and families, our clinicians create and provide individualized treatment plans and high-quality care tailored to each individual’s needs. Our staff is comprised of a multidisciplinary staff including board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists and family therapists, registered nurses, and expressive therapists. This well-trained team has extensive background in the treatment of OCD and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our clinicians have experience working with patients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds from across the country and around the world.

The OCDI operates within the Division of Depression and Anxiety Disorders, led by Chief Scientific Officer Kerry J. Ressler, MD, PhD.
