Waverley Place

Located a half mile from McLean’s Belmont campus, Waverley Place is a community-based support program which provides a therapeutic community for adults experiencing severe mental illness, including conditions such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Members of Waverley Place guide their own participation in the program, including but not limited to program and group attendance. Staff, peer counselors, and other community members assist each member to design and implement a plan of action customized to the individual’s needs and goals. Each individual meets with staff to review current meaningful goals in reference to eight dimensions of wellness—emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, physical, occupational, environmental, and financial needs. In this self-determined plan of action, both Waverley Place members and staff can grow and thrive and while working towards recovery.
