McLean Hospital is a Harvard Medical School affiliate who conducts state-of-the-art scientific investigation to maximize discovery and accelerate translation of findings towards achieving prevention and cures for psychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases. McLean Hospital maintains the largest neuroscience and psychiatry research program of any private psychiatric hospital in the United States.

McLean's robust research program is backed by more than $40M in funding from a variety of sources, including foundations, private contributors, National Institute of Health, United States Department of Defense, and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
