Biography:

Matthew D. Sacchet, PhD, recently joined the faculty of McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School where he is the 2019-2020 Rappaport Mental Health Research Scholar. Dr. Sacchet’s research uses clinical, computational, and neuroimaging methods to advance our understanding of mood disorders and mindfulness meditation-based interventions. Since 2012, he has authored over 55 publications and his research has been presented over 100 times.

Dr. Sacchet has been awarded funding from the National Science Foundation, the National Institute of Mental Health, and the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. His research has received coverage by major media outlets including CBS, NBC, NPR, Time, and The Wall Street Journal. In 2017 Forbes Magazine named him as one of its “30 Under 30.”
