Biography

Matthew Schrock, PhD, specializes in providing evidence-based treatment in a flexible, personalized manner. Specifically, he focuses on cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mentalization-based approaches for adults experiencing mood, anxiety, and personality disorders. Dr. Schrock is a clinical psychologist with appointments at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He is the co-director of Psychology Training for the McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology and is the director of training and education at McLean’s Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program.

Dr. Schrock earned his MA and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Louisville where he was trained in CBT interventions for anxiety and depression. He completed his pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowships at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where he received extensive DBT and ACT training. Dr. Schrock has completed the basic and advanced trainings in mentalization-based treatment (MBT) for borderline personality disorder. He has also completed training in multi-family therapy through the Anna Freud Center in London.
