Emerging Leaders in Mental Health Course 2023
Experts share best practices, strategies, and evidence-based approaches to improving the patient care and provider experience
While there are many things that are taught in graduate and doctoral programs or in medical schools and residencies, many of the most important lessons about patient care are often learned from mentors and through hands-on experiences during one’s career.
This online course is designed to advance and grow the capabilities and skills of tomorrow’s mental health leaders.
Watch the sessions on demand below or view the course agenda.
Led by senior faculty from McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School who share best practices, strategies, and evidence-based approaches to improving the patient care and provider experience, the Emerging Leaders course helps providers of all disciplines build upon their existing skills in three key areas:
- Growing trust and developing meaningful professional relationships with patients, even those who are closed off or are reluctant to engage
- Identifying common pitfalls related to providing an accurate diagnosis
- Building cultural competency through curiosity and patient partnership
Offered by the Education Outreach Department at McLean Hospital. This event took place on September 20, 2023.
