Issues With Zoom

Where is the Zoom link?

When you registered for an event, you received a confirmation email from Zoom. The Zoom confirmation contains the webinar link to access the event.

Zoom sends a reminder email one hour prior to the event and this also contains the link.

For courses, you will also receive a reminder email one day before the event from McLean—this reminder email also contains Zoom access.

If you can’t find these emails:

  • Check your spam or junk emails
  • Be sure you are checking the email account of the email address you used to register for the event

Do I need a Zoom account to view the event?

Yes. All users of Zoom need to have an account with Zoom. This can be a free account.

I can’t see/hear on Zoom

Please be sure to check your internet connection. Restarting Zoom may also help.

How do I ask a question for the speaker to answer?

Use the Q&A option usually found at the bottom of the Zoom screen to ask questions.

Please recognize that even in a long session, not all audience questions can be answered. But we do our best to answer as many as time allows.

Don’t forget: Please do not share any identifying details when posing questions in our sessions.

Continuing Education Credits – Events

How do I get credit for a live/virtual event?

If the event is accredited, review the accreditation statement to ensure your discipline is included. Be sure to register and pay for credits for the event.

Live attendance of the virtual event is required.

Please note: Our webinar series is not currently available to watch for credits, but many of our courses and conferences are eligible for an array of disciplines.

How do I know if I paid for credits?

Eventbrite issues a confirmation email once you have registered and indicates the cost if you have paid. If you can’t find this email:

  • Check your spam or junk emails
  • Be sure you are checking the email account of the email address you used to register for the event

Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, our events are nonrefundable, which is noted on our website as well as the Eventbrite event registration page.

How do I get my credits?

In order to get your certificate you must attend the event then fill out the post-test survey.

Access to the post-test is sent via email following the event.

If you can’t find this email:

  • Check your spam or junk emails
  • Be sure you are checking the email account of the email address you used to register for the event

Please note: The certificate portal is open for two weeks following the live event.

Recordings/Slides – Events

Will the event be recorded?

Yes. We record all of our virtual events so they can be watched on-demand. It takes us approximately one week following a webinar and approximately two weeks following a course to share recordings.

All registered attendees will receive an email with access to the recordings when they are available.

Are speaker slides available after the event?

Yes. All available slide presentations are shared along with the event recordings.

Can I get continuing education credits by watching the recordings?

If you registered to attend a live/virtual event, CME/CEU are available only if you attend the live/virtual event.

Even though the recordings of each live program are made available after the event, you cannot register for a live event and get credits by watching the recordings.

If you seek to receive credits for an on-demand (archived) session, please follow the registration process in order to receive credits.

Continuing Education Credits – On-Demand

Can I get credits from watching pre-recorded sessions?

Some McLean education courses are available for CME/CEU credits.

If a program is accredited, review the accreditation statement to ensure your discipline is included. Then register and pay for credits for the on-demand courses.

Please note: You cannot sign up for credits for a live event and instead watch the recordings for credit. Live and on-demand sessions are handled separately.

How do I know if I paid for credits?

The payment portal sends a receipt upon payment.

If you can’t find this email:

  • Check your spam or junk emails
  • Be sure you are checking the email account of the email address you used to register for the event

Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, refunds are not possible for our online programs. This is stated on the webpage of each of our online sessions.

How do I get my credits?

Once your payment has been received, we will send you access to the post-test and certificate. This may take up to one business day following receipt of your payment.

If you can’t find this email:

  • Check your spam or junk emails
  • Be sure you are checking the email account of the email address you used to register for the credits

Please note: You have 30 days to complete the post-test and get your certificate.
