McLean Hospital’s newly established Center for Depression, Anxiety and Stress Research will host an inaugural event on Friday, Oct. 1 from 1:15pm to 3:30pm in Pierce Hall, located on McLean’s Belmont campus. The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature brief presentations by more than 20 members of the McLean and Harvard faculty on clinical and research programs relevant to depression and anxiety, explained the Center’s director Diego A. Pizzagalli, PhD.

“My goal is for this event to highlight the excellent work currently ongoing at McLean Hospital, while also serving to catalyze collaborations among different research and clinical programs on campus,” said Pizzagalli who encourages all members of the McLean staff to attend.

The Center for Depression, Anxiety and Stress Research embraces a multidisciplinary approach to improve our understanding of psychological, environmental, and neural factors implicated in affective disorders.
