McLean Hospital’s speakers bureau is a community service that helps to educate the public about a variety of mental health issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. For the past 14 years, McLean’s doctors, therapists, and nurses have spoken to schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, and corporations, helping to raise awareness and eliminate social stigma.
The speakers bureau is an opportunity to inform audiences throughout Great Boston and the outlying suburbs about mental illness, new research underway, different treatments that are available, and support groups and resources that are offered for families.
While many McLean doctors and therapists are available to go out into the community, organizations are asked to give as much lead time as possible regarding the date of their events and to provide any specific requests pertaining to the presentation.

McLean experts have also given presentations at Winchester High School and Lowell General Medical Educations Department.
