Biography

Adam Henderson, MD, is a staff psychiatrist at McLean Hospital, specializing in the treatment of personality disorders, addiction, and trauma. He completed psychiatry residency at MGH/McLean and has sub-specialty training leading to board certification in addiction medicine. He is a psychiatrist in the Borderline Personality Disorder Outpatient Program and on staff in the Mentalization-Based Treatment Clinic, where he is passionate about utilizing evidence-based treatments for personality disorders.

Dr. Henderson also works in the Clinical Evaluation Center doing psychiatric diagnosis and assessment. Dr. Henderson’s clinical interest lies in the application of psychotherapy to bring about healing in psychodynamically derived, behaviorally informed treatment models for mental health conditions. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Henderson is committed to medical education and is an instructor in psychiatry, part-time, at Harvard Medical School.
