
Allison Avery
Admissions Coordinator, Borden Cottage
Biography
Allison Avery has been the admissions coordinator for Borden Cottage, a McLean Signature Addiction Recovery Program, since 2016. Prior to joining McLean, she worked in the health care field as a patient services representative and hospice care administrative assistant. Ms. Avery was a residential program director for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health for over ten years. She holds a degree in music therapy and was the founder of a community music therapy program on Nantucket Island.
Ms. Avery uses her experience to help patients and families navigate the addiction treatment options that would best fit their needs, answering any questions they have about the clinical services offered by the Signature Addiction Recovery Programs. She works collaboratively with patients, their families, and the clinical team throughout the admissions process, ensuring that patients arrive safely and receive a warm welcome. Ms. Avery was a 2020 recipient of the Pillars of Excellence Award for her commitment to exceptional patient experience and optimizing collaboration.
