Biography
Burook Misganaw, PhD, focuses his research on applying computational methods to biomedical problems with a focus on psychiatric disorders. Particularly, his research interest lies at the intersection of machine learning and systems biology as well as signal processing. His current area of work includes developing and validating reliable biomarkers for trauma-related outcomes.
Dr. Misganaw has extensive experience in analyzing complex phenotypes as well as multiple molecular data types including gene expression (microarray, RNA-seq), DNA methylation, SNP, proteomics, metabolomics, whole-exome/genome sequencing data.
