Program Director, Borden Cottage
Catherine Ulrich Milliken, LCSW, LADC, CCS, is the program director of McLean’s Borden Cottage, a Signature Addiction Recovery Program. Prior to working at McLean, she served as the Addiction Treatment program director at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and an instructor in psychiatry at The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College for close to 10 years. Previous academic appointments included University of Southern Maine, University of New England, and University of New Hampshire.
Ms. Milliken returns to Maine to work at Borden Cottage. Previously she worked passionately to improve the care and treatment of women’s mental health and substance issues as the director of Outpatient Services at Crossroads for Women in Portland, Maine, which provides gender‐specific and trauma‐informed outpatient programs and services. During that time, she also saw clients in private practice, specializing in adult psychotherapy, substance use, and women’s issues and worked with clients struggling with HIV and AIDS diagnoses.
