Since 2016, Christine Kaplan, LICSW, has served as a clinical team manager at Appleton, which specializes in treatment and recovery for adults with psychosis, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related diagnoses. Previously, she was the director of community programming for Boston’s Continuum (The Home for Little Wanderers), serving at-risk adolescents and their families. There, she oversaw services utilizing integrated treatment of complex trauma and provided ongoing individual and family therapy to patients with challenging complex trauma histories and major mental illness. Prior to this, she held positions at the Children’s Community Support Collaborative, S.T.A.R.R., and Health and Education Services.

Ms. Kaplan is certified in brief strategic family therapy and has experience with CBT and open dialogic practice. Her expertise is working with individuals and families impacted by major mental illness, residential treatment and multi-stressed family systems. In addition to her current role at Appleton, she has a part-time private practice providing therapy, case management, and consultation to individuals and families.
