Biography
Denise A. Soccio, DNP, RN, earned a doctorate in education from Regis College and she has over 30 years experience in clinical psychiatric nursing. She has been a professor at Regis College in the pre-licensure nursing program for 15 years. As a result of her published research conducted at Regis College, psychiatric nursing clinical was changed to include mental health simulation as a substitute for a portion of traditional clinical hours.
In her present role at McLean, Ms. Soccio is responsible for nursing staff orientation, CPR & CPI instructor, affiliations, serving on education and practice committees, and supporting quality improvement and research projects.
