Biography

Emma H. Moscardini, PhD, is a clinical and research psychologist in McLean Hospital’s Behavioral Health Partial Hospital Program and an instructor in psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Her work focuses on suicide prevention, with expertise in interventions such as brief cognitive behavioral therapy for suicide prevention (B-CBT) and the collaborative assessment and management of suicidality (CAMS). Her research examines contemporary theories of suicide, treatment outcomes, and provider decision-making in acute care. She has published on risk and protective factors for suicidal thoughts and behaviors among high-risk groups, including military and gender-diverse individuals.

Dr. Moscardini is involved in developing clinical protocols, training staff, and enhancing ethical, evidence-based care in partial hospital settings. She also plays a role in supervising and mentoring psychology trainees, contributing to the growth of the next generation of clinician-researchers.
