Biography
Jennifer J. Holiman, MSN, APRN/CNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with a robust background in advanced practice and training. At McLean, she provides medication management and psychotherapy within the Geriatric Psychiatry Outpatient Services. She is passionate in her role as a clinical preceptor to nurse practitioner students and has served as a clinician for studies in the Geriatric Psychiatry Research Program. Ms. Holiman’s comprehensive training includes geriatric inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, cognitive neuropsychiatry, and trauma-informed care. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA).
Ms. Holiman’s expertise is well-documented through her publications. She has written and co-authored articles and chapters featured in various publications. Additionally, she has shared her knowledge at conferences. Her clinical insights have been presented in poster sessions, highlighting topics on apathy, depression, and de-escalation in older adults with dementia. Ms. Holiman is dedicated to advancing geriatric psychiatry through evidence-based practices, research, and education.
