Biography
Jodie O’Malley, LICSW, is a senior clinical team manager and individual and group psychotherapist at McLean Hospital. Drawing from over two decades of experience, Ms. O’Malley utilizes evidenced-based psychotherapies, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mentalization-based treatment, radical openness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing. By working collaboratively with patients to prioritize treatment goals and values and to select effective treatment interventions, she draws on their internal resources and strengths. She is particularly interested in increasing mindfulness and using adaptive coping skills.
In addition to her work at McLean, Ms. O’Malley is a member of the Institute of Coaching (based at McLean Hospital) and the International Coaching Federation. She is a certified executive coach passionate about fostering psychological safety in organizations. She offers executive coaching on leadership development, emotional intelligence, and cultivating cultures based on psychological safety. Ms. O’Malley creates and delivers interactive and engaging workshops and facilitates implementing psychological safety on teams and building and strengthening effective workplace behaviors.
