Mclean Hospital

Support at McLean

McLean hosts a number of local and national organizations which offer resources for individuals with mental health conditions. Support from these organizations can include self-help groups, access to informational resources, peer interaction and support, family and friend support groups, and assistance with community resources such as job coaching and life skills education.

Community Organizations

Cole Resource Center
The Cole Resource Center is an education and recovery community of peers and family members, dedicated to helping people affected by mental illness lead full and healthy lives. They offer access to a wide variety of programs and resources on mental health challenges and pathways to wellness for peers and families. Our staff members are available to provide guidance in navigating the many resources for health insurance, housing, availability of low-cost medications, transitions to employment, and treatment options. Visit their website to learn more about resources such as teen mentoring, peer support groups, job coaching, and more.

DBSA Boston
The Depression Bipolar Support Alliance of Boston is a self-help organization run by and for people with depression and bipolar disorder, and for family and friends of those with these disorders. DBSA members come together to share support and information with others in similar situations. Visit the DBSA website to learn more about upcoming community events and available resources like support groups, lectures book club, and a comprehensive local service directory.
