Feeling the Stress of COVID-19? Follow Along for 10 Minutes of Yoga and Relaxation
Available with English captions and subtitles in Hindi, Portuguese, and Spanish.
McLean’s Kate McHugh, Manager of Fitness, walks us through steps we can take to find a minute to ourselves during the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you’ve been sitting at a makeshift desk, created your own standing one at home, have been on your feet for hours, or are simply tense, there’s a good chance that you’re experiencing back stiffness or pain. A good way to combat this—and relieve tension and anxiety—is through the eight movements of the spine.
Watch Kate McHugh share these simple movements. In a short amount of time, you’ll start to feel tension release from your back and neck while allowing for a reprieve from work, your laptop, or your home environment.
All you need for this exercise is a chair. Do not overexert yourself, and if you have an existing medical condition, please do not attempt any movements that make you feel uncomfortable.
