Biography
Melanie Harkins, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Harkins joined McLean SouthEast’s Adolescent Partial Hospital Program as the clinical director in 2022. Before this, she completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship specializing in neuropsychological assessment and adolescent inpatient care at Mass General Brigham’s Salem Hospital.
Dr. Harkins has treated child and adolescent mental health across multiple settings, including outpatient, inpatient, school-based settings, and partial hospital programs. She specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for adolescents and young adults who struggle with emotion dysregulation and high-risk behaviors.
