Biography

James D. Wines, MD, MPH, is a staff psychiatrist at Fernside, one of McLean’s Signature Addiction Recovery Programs. Dr. Wines has worked at McLean in various capacities since 1993. His research focuses on addiction and drug policy.

Dr. Wines received his medical degree from The Ohio State University. He completed his residency and post-doctoral fellowships at McLean Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Wines is an instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and is board-certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry.
